American Stage is seeking local Non-Equity performers for the 22-23 American Stage Education School Tour CINDERELLA EATS RICE AND BEANS.

Rehearsals Begin: September 6, 2022 - September 25, 2022
Previews: September 23 and September 24, 2022

Other Important Information
Actors should be available for the entire tour run, September 26th - December 4th, 2022. Touring performances will be Monday-Fridays between 7AM and 3PM. There will be two performances on stage at American Stage on December 3rd and 4th.

Rate: $500/week

Character Breakdown
Actors who identify as Latine, Latinx, Hispanic, and/or Afro-Latinx, Black, African-American, are strongly encouraged to submit. In addition to cisgendered artists, non-binary and trans artists are encouraged to submit. Seeking actors who are strong movers, comfortable with singing and rapping.

Cinderella (also known as Cencienta) - A sixth grader from Puerto Rico visiting the United States to learn English. Female identifying. Actors should be fluent or comfortable speaking spanish.

Rosa - the wicked cool “step sister”. Female identifying. Loves pop music, basketball and being popular. Actor should be a strong mover and comfortable singing and rapping.

Joey - Rosa’s best friend and head of the pep squad, also voices the Narrator. Male identifying. Actors with tumbling or gymnastic skills are encouraged to apply.

Padrino - The Almost Fairy Godfather. Actor should be a strong character actor, with comedic timing and improvisational skills.
