Auditions will be held with time-slots on August 15th starting at 4:30pm. There will be a required dance call at 10am on Saturday, August 20th followed by call-backs for some of our players.
Actors are asked to sing a short 24-36 bar cut from the show or in the style of the show. Sheet music from the show is available online. You may practice with background tracks but you must sing with our accompanist at the audition. please bring sheet music, in a book, properly marked and in the correct key. *We will have the full score in case you need help finding the proper key.
Actors in 5th grade and up are asked to perform a one minute monologue. Younger actors may choose to tell us a funny story or perform a monologue.
GUIDELINES
Rehearsals start August 22nd, 2022 at 4:30pm-6:30pm.
The cast will rehearse weekly: Mondays 4:30-6:30pm and Saturdays 10-12pm. (Some younger cast members may be released at 6pm on Mondays and 11:30am on Saturdays/Some older cast cast members may be called until 12:30 on some Saturdays.
Please be aware that rehearsal extensions/additions are sometimes a possibility. If this is the case, you will always be notified in advance.)
Tech Week is November 5th-10th through the show weekend of November 10th-13th. *Actors must be available for all of Tech Week 4:30-7:00pm. **There is a possible extension date of 11/17 and 11/18 if we sell out and if cast is available.
Cast members may be allowed two pre-approved absences prior to Tech Week. Please indicate these absences on your audition form.
OTHER INFORMATION
The show is part of Theatre South's PTP (Professional Training Program.) Our show fee directly pays for all aspects of this production.
