REQUIREMENTS

AUDITION INFO:

*Seeking actors for all roles ages 14-22, and seeking young boys ages 11-14 for the role of Tobias Ragg.

Vocal/Acting Auditions Jan 5th from 2-5pm and Jan 6-7th from 4-7pm and are by appointment. Select one appointment only.

What to Prepare for Appointment Auditions:

VOCAL AUDITION:
- Please prepare a 1 min song from the musical Sweeney Todd that shows your range.
- Please bring an accompaniment track for the song you choose to sing (with no added vocals on the track). The track should only consist of an instrumental accompaniment for your song selection.
-If you are unable to find a song from Sweeney Todd that you are comfortable singing, please choose a song from another Broadway musical that is in the same style.

ACTING AUDITION:
-You may be asked to read for a role. **Please note that a Character Breakdown and Acting sides will be posted and available on our Florida Rep Education website. Please prepare one character of your choice before coming to your first audition. Sides will also be provided at the audition. Characters: Sweeney Todd, Anthony Hope, Beggar Woman, Mrs. Lovett, Judge Turpin, The Beadle, Johanna, Tobias Ragg, Pirelli, and Company (including Bird Seller, Jonas Fogg, etc.)

**Once you have submitted a headshot and resume on this platform, you do not need to bring a copy of your headshot/resume with you to your appointment audition.

CALLBACK INFO: (select students will receive a callback by email with detailed instructions)
-Callbacks are scheduled for Saturday January 10th with two time slot sessions available. At callbacks, all actors will be asked to sing, dance and act. (Session 1 from 9-12pm) or (Session 2 from 1pm-4pm).
-Come dressed in movable clothing and closed-toed sneakers or dance shoes. You will learn choreography from the show! You may also sing and read again, so come prepared with your music track.



GUIDELINES

*1st read thru is March 10th, with rehearsals beginning March 24 and are on select dates Tues-Thurs from 5:30-9pm and some Saturdays from 9-3pm. *You may not be called to all rehearsals.

*A schedule and conflict sheet will be provided to you at your first audition and will be due at your callback.

SOUND TECH Thursday May 14th (5-9pm)
TECH Friday May 15 (5-9pm) / Sat May 16-Sun May 17th (10-8pm)
Dress Rehearsals May 19-21st (4-9pm)
Photo Call Thursday May 21

*Performances in the Historic Arcade Theatre :
(Opening) Fri May 22nd 7pm, Sat May 23rd 7pm, Sunday May 24th 2pm
Thursday May 28th 7pm, Fri May 29th 7pm, (Closing) Sat May 30th 2pm

**School Lunchbox Performance Thurs May 28th @ 10am



OTHER INFORMATION

Auditions will be in the Admin/Bunch Rehearsal Hall, located next to the Florida Rep Arcade Theatre in Downtown Ft Myers. There will be a parking attendant to let you in the free parking lot across from the theatre.
