All students must meet the following requirements to be considered for the
Act 1 Summer Intensives:
Song Students must prepare a 1 minute cut of a song from a musical. The selection should be approximately 16 to 32 measures. Songs must be memorized. Students must provide a backing track. No a cappella singing will be permitted.
Monologue Students must prepare a 1 minute memorized monologue. The monologue should be age appropriate and demonstrate clear character choices and emotional range.
Headshot and Resume Students must submit a current headshot and a resume. The resume should include any past productions, training, and relevant performance experience. A short bio may be included but is not required.
Dance There is no dance requirement at the initial audition. Select students will be invited to attend a scheduled dance callback.
General Expectations Students must come prepared, focused, and ready to perform. All audition material must be fully memorized. Students should demonstrate confidence, effort, and a willingness to take direction.
Students who do not meet these requirements may not be considered.

All students must complete an audition to be considered for acceptance into the Act 1 Summer Intensives. This is a focused, audition based program for students who are ready to commit, grow, and perform at a high level.

Students will perform a 1 minute cut of a song from a musical. The cut should be approximately 16 to 32 measures and clearly marked if using a track. Songs must be memorized and should showcase vocal ability, range, and character. Students may sing with a backing track. No a cappella singing.
Monologue
Students will perform a 1 minute memorized monologue. The monologue should be age appropriate and demonstrate strong character choices, emotion, and clear storytelling.
Dance Callbacks
Dance callbacks will be scheduled after initial auditions for selected students. Students invited to callbacks will learn a short combination to assess movement, coordination, and performance quality.

Important Expectations
This is an intensive program. Students are expected to attend all rehearsals from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and fully commit to the three week process. Conflicts should be minimal due to the fast paced nature of the program. Attendance and commitment will directly impact casting and participation.
Additional Information
Admission is limited and based on audition results. Not all students who audition will be accepted. Casting decisions are based on performance, attitude, and program needs.
OTHER INFORMATION
Act 1 Summer Intensives are structured, audition based training programs designed for students who are serious about growing as performers in a focused and disciplined environment. This is a fast paced three week intensive that requires full commitment from all participants. Attendance and punctuality are essential to the success of both the individual student and the overall production. Students are expected to arrive on time each day, remain for the full duration of the program, and actively participate in all rehearsals and workshops. Late arrivals, early pickups, absences, or failure to fully participate may result in reassignment of roles or removal from the program. All families should carefully review their summer schedules prior to accepting placement. This intensive is not designed for students with significant outside conflicts. By accepting a position in the program, families acknowledge and agree to all expectations and policies outlined by Act 1.
