AUDITIONS: Time-slots starting at 5:30 on Monday, August 8th Actor's are required to sing a short vocal selection in the style of the Show. (please do not sing "Play Rehearsal" or Michael in The Bathroom) at your initial audition. No tracks please. Bring your sheet music,in the right key and properly marked. Have an additional song prepared if asked to sing more. Actor's are asked to perform a short comic monologue of their choice or tell us a heartfelt humorous or serious personal story. CALLBACKS: Callbacks will be held on August 10th with a required dacne call at 6pm.

Tech Week is October 15th-20th through the show weekend of October 20th-23rd. *Actors must be available for all of Tech Week 5:30-9:30pm **There is a possible extension date of 10/28 and 10/29 if we sell out.
Cast members may be allowed two pre-approved absences prior to Tech Week. Please indicate these absences on your audition form.

Performances the weekend of October 20-23rd with a possible extension October 27-30th. Rehearsals starting August 17th on Weds/Thurs evenings and Saturday afternoons.

The show is part of Theatre South's Professional Training Program. Our show fee directly pays for all aspects of this production. (It's a producer's fee, all funds go directly into this production.)
We train/rehearse three days a week and a full performance weekend October 20-23rd with a possible extension the following weekend. Our "Be More Chill" is seeking a diverse cast of misfits who ooze personality and smarts. This isn’t a musical for the popular kids, this is a musical for the Other kids.
Jeremy Heere (Range: A2-A4) – Awkward high school junior
Christine Canigula (Range: F3-D5) – High school theater nerd, sweetly dorky
Michael Mell (Range: B2-A4) – Jeremy's music-obsessed best friend
The Squip (Range: F#2-Ab4) – The supercomputer in Jeremy's head
The Squip Squad- Four Incredible dancer/actors that are the coolest entities in this play. They are everything and follow the squip on his evil mission.
Jake Dillinger (Range: Db3-Bb4) – High school awesomeness personified
Rich (Range: Bb2-A4 w/ opt. E5) – Five feet five inches of teenage bully
Chloe (Range: B3-Eb5) – The hottest girl in school, crass and confident
Brooke (Range: Bb3-Eb5) – The second hottest girl in school, insecure
Jenna Rolan (Range: G3-G5) – That girl who knows everyone's business
Jeremy's Dad (Range: Ab2-A4) – Never wears pants.
