THE VETERANS PROJECT at Theatre Winter Haven

THIS IS AN OPEN CALL. PRE-REGISTRATION IS RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED. Pre-registration will close on Friday, Sept. 28 at 5 pm. Once pre-registration is closed, you may still come to the open audition and register in person.

Theatre Winter Haven, located at 210 Cypress Garden’s Blvd., Winter Haven, FL will hold auditions for a production of THE VETERANS PROJECT, an original play about Polk County Veterans and their experiences both in service and upon their return to civilian life. Auditions will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 6:00pm at the theatre.

In 2016 writers for Theatre Winter Haven’s Veterans Project, conducted interviews with members of the Polk County Veteran’s Community. Citizens of Polk County who served their country in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan contributed their stories. This play is edited from those interviews, as well as journal entries, letters and other found text.

THE VETERANS PROJECT was originally produced in fall of 2017 at Theatre Winter Haven. The current production will be touring the Central Florida area in celebration of Veterans Day 2018.
