Theatre Winter Haven
Theatre Winter Haven Announces Auditions for GREASE

Danny - (Range: Tenor, D3–B4, falsetto to C5) The leader of the Burger Palace Boys. An air of cool easy-going charm. Strong and confident.

Sandy - (Range: Mezzo Soprano, A3–Eb5) Sweet, wholesome, naive, like Sandra Dee of the "Gidget" movies.

THE PINK LADIES - The club-jacketed, gum chewing girls' gang that hang around the Burger Palace Boys.

Rizzo - (Range: Mezzo-Soprano A3– C5) Leader of The Pink Ladies. She is tough, sarcastic, and outspoken, but vulnerable.

Frenchy -(Range: Alto, F#3–B4) A dreamer. Good-natured and dumb. Particular about her hair. She can't wait to finish High School so she can be a beautician.

Marty - (Range: Mezzo-Soprano, C4–Db5) Looks older than the other Pink Ladies, but betrays her age when she opens her mouth. Tried to act sophisticated.

Jan - (Range: Alto, F3-C#5) Loud and pushy with the girls, but shy with the boys.

THE BURGER PALACE BOYS - A super-cool group of High School wheelers and dealers...or so they think.

Kenickie - (Range: Baritone, C3–F#5) Second-in-command of the Burger Palace Boys. Tough-looking, and surly. Avoids any shows of softness.

Doody - (Range: Tenor, E3-C5, falsetto to E5) Boyish and open. Has a hero-worshipping attitude towards the other guys. A bonus if he can play the guitar.

Roger - (Range: Tenor, F3-A4, falsetto to C5) The "anything-for-a-laugh" type. Full of mischief, half-baked schemes and ideas. A clown who enjoys putting other people on.

Sonny - (Range: Bass/Baritone, G2–F#4, falsetto to C5) A braggart and wheeler-dealer who thinks he's a real lady killer.

Patty - (Range: Alto, B3-B4) A cheerleader at Rydell High. Aggressive, sure of herself, given to bursts of disconcerting enthusiasm. A plus if she can twirl a baton.

Cha-Cha - The best dancer at St. Bernadette's.

Eugene - The class valedictorian. An "apple-polisher".

Vince Fontaine - A teen audience radio disc jockey. Slick and fast talking.

Johnny Casino - (Range: Baritone, G3- E4) A student at Rydell High School who leads a Rock N Roll band and likes to think of himself as a real Rock N Roll idol.

Teen Angel -(Range: Tenor, E3–B4, falsetto to E5) A singer who would have caused girls to scream and riot back in 1958.

RADIO VOICE - (Range: Mezzo-Soprano, A3-C4)

Miss Lynch - The English teacher

Ensemble - Various students and adults at Rydell High and the surrounding community.

Actors should prepare 32-bars of a song that demonstrates vocal skill and range.

Legible sheet music must be provided for the music director/audition pianist. No recorded accompaniment or a cappella auditions will be allowed.

Actors may also be asked to participate in a dance audition, and to read from the script.

As an incentive to sign up for the audition with Auditions Manager, the first hour and a half of each open call will be given over exclusively to those who pre-register through this service.

Pre-registration is recommended, but not required.

Once pre-registration through this website is closed, auditionees may show up at either open call and complete their registration in person.
