please prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo musical theatre song (no pop/rock songs). Or you may sing a Christmas song.
A dance call will be held in groups following vocal auditions. Please dress accordingly.
A separate callback will also be held for the lead children roles.
Accompanist provided. Tracks are also allowed for children. No A' Capella auditions please.
Songs from the show are OK to sing, especially for Ralphie.
A note from the director: Although this show is based on a well-known movie, we do encourage you to bring your own honest interpretation to roles.

CHILDREN’S ROLES: Ralphie (Male) High belter, low F# to high D 9-12 A regular kid. Ralphie above all is a dreamer. Seeking a young boy who is comfortable and honest on stage. Must be an excellent singer and able to carry a show. Tap dance is a big plus
Randy (Male), low F# to high C# 8-9 Ralphie’s younger brother. Can be a bit awkward and offbeat; admires his big brother, Ralphie, but won’t admit it. Seeking a young boy who is comfortable and honest on stage, cute, cuddly, & whiny but not a brat. Tap dance is a big plus.
Scut Farcus (Male) 12-14 Must be 5’ or shorter. The classic bully; tough, perhaps taller than the other kids; there’s nothing about him you want to like. He’s that kid you always made sure to avoid in school. Gruff character voice. Tap dance is a big plus
Grover Dill (Male) 8-12 Farcus’ toady, smaller than Scut Farcus. Tap Specialty Boy/Girl 8-14 Strong tap dancer – performs a featured tap solo.
CHILDREN ENSEMBLE Boys/Girls ages 8-14 : in addition to playing school children Will also play multiple roles throughout the show. Tap experience a plus.
