A mandatory parent meeting for parents of new students will occur in conjunction with auditions this season.
An audition form signed by a parent/guardian must be presented at the time of the audition. Form is available here in the audition manager resources and on the WSPA website.
GUIDELINES
Please read these instructions carefully.
A $50 tuition deposit must be paid in order to audition. An audition form signed by a parent must be given in order to audition. Links to both are in the resources section at the top of this page, and on the Summer 2023 webpage.
Audition Requirements If you would like to be considered for Alice In Wonderland, please prepare a 30-90 second monologue in the style of the show (contemporary comedy). You are welcome to select a monologue from the list linked below or choose your own. Memorization is encouraged, but not required. If you would like to be considered for Peter Pan Jr. or Godspell Jr., please prepare 16-32 bars (30-60 seconds) of a song of your choice- in the style of the show is encouraged. Memorization is encouraged but not required. You may sing a cappella, with a track on a device/speaker that you bring with you, or bring sheet music and an accompanist will be provided. Callbacks will be held on the first rehearsal of each respective camp: June 26 for Peter Pan Jr. and July 10 for Godspell Jr.
If you would like to be considered for A Chorus Line: Please prepare 16-32 bars (30-60 seconds) of a musical theater song of your choice in the style of the show. You may sing a cappella, with a track (provide your own device/speaker if you choose), or you may bring sheet music and an accompanist will be provided. Callbacks, held on 5/16, will consist of a dance call, solo music, and cold reads.
If you would like to be considered for both Alice in Wonderland and one of the musical theatre productions, please prepare a monologue and a song excerpt.
All auditions will also include a dance call- the dance call for all who are interested in A Chorus Line will be more advanced than the dance call for those only interested in the day camps. For those interested in A Chorus Line and in the day camps, the more advanced dance call will suffice for both.
Headshot and resume are optional, not required.
Plan to stay for one hour as indicated on your audition slot. If the slot is not completely full, the audition may last slightly less than the full time.
