Auditionees who are interested in being considered for ROALD DAHL'S WILLY WONKA should prepare a 32-bar cut (about 1 minute) of a musical theatre song.
Legible sheet music must be provided for the audition pianist. No a cappella or prerecorded accompaniment will be permitted.
If you are invited to the callback, be prepared to learn a short movement combination and wear appropriate movement attire for the movement combination. Sneakers or dance shoes are okay, but no sandals, crocs or heels.
Additionally, auditionees who are called back may also read/sing (if applicable) from the show.

ROALD DAHL'S WILLY WONKA Young People Character Descriptions:
Charlie Bucket (Tenor; G2-G4): The story’s earnest, sweet, innocent central character. From a poor background, he is humble and noncompetitive while maintaining a sense of wonder about the world. One of the Golden Ticket winners, whose kind manner and general good nature wins Wonka over.
Augustus Gloop (Tenor; B2-G4): A gluttonous German boy. Cheerful and jolly, he defines himself by his ability to eat mass quantities of food. One of the Golden Ticket winners whose constant overeating is enabled and encouraged by Mrs. Gloop.
Veruca Salt (Mezzo/Belt; G3-G5): A wealthy, spoiled British girl. She is accustomed to having her father indulge her every whim and desire. One of the Golden Ticket winners. She carries an aristocratic attitude while being bossy and mean.
Violet Beauregarde (Mezzo/Belt; G3-G5): A brassy southern debutante with a competitive streak. Violet seizes every opportunity to show off. She turns into a giant blueberry.
Mike Teavee (Tenor; G2-G4): An obnoxious, hyperactive child addicted to television, video games, and the internet. He is rude, abrupt, and dismisses education for technology. One of the Golden Ticket winners.
James (Baritone; A2-E4): A childhood friend of Charlie. He enjoys candy and singing with the Candy Man.
Matilda (Mezzo/Belt; A3-E5): A childhood friend of Charlie. She enjoys candy and singing with the Candy Man.
Young Persons Ensemble:
Oompa-Loompas: Willy Wonka’s odd, mysterious group of factory workers. Originally from Loompa Land. They are green-haired hard workers who share Wonka’s disdain for “ugly” behavior and offer moral anecdotes through song.
Squirrels: Intelligent squirrels who harvest nuts for Wonka.
Various other role and understudy opportunities.
