Arsenic and Old Lace & Carousel

The Athens in DeLand will hold open auditions for the three spring shows for the 2017-2018 season. ALADDIN Jr. on OCTOBER 15 and 16, Call Backs on the 17th. ARSENIC & OLD LACE, and CAROUSEL, on OCTOBER 8 & 9 starting at 5:30pm each evening thru 8:30pm. Auditions are by appointment only. Adult Actors are also encouraged to audition for this show - Performances for ALADDIN JR. will be January 19,20,21*,25,26,27,28* February 1,2,3,and 4* at the Historic Athens Theatre. All shows start at 7:30p, except for Sunday *Matinees at 2:30p. Additionally, there are 10:30am school shows on January 18,19,22,23,25,26,29,30,Feb. 1 and 2. Limited Rehearsals will begin the week of Nov 13th and will become weekly around the week of Decmember 4th .

Performances for ARSENIC & OLD LACE will be February 23,24,25*, March 1,2,3,4*,8,9,10,11*,15,16,17,and 18* at the Historic Athens Theatre. All shows start at 7:30p, except for Sunday *Matinees at 2:30p. Rehearsals will begin the week of January 22.

Performances for CAROUSEL will be held on April 20,21,22*, 26,27,28,29*,May 3,4,5,6*,10,11,12, and 13* at the Historic Athens Theatre. All shows start at 7:30p, except for Sunday *Matinees at 2:30p. Rehearsals will begin the week of March 5th.

NOTES/WHAT TO BRING: Actors may attend any evening and will be asked to do the following:
• Prepare 16-32 bars of a standard musical theatre singing selection which showcases Range and Acting Ability. (No a cappella auditions. Bring Sheet Music in the appropriate key for the Accompanist. Music from the show is permissible.). This is for Aladdin and Carousel

•Prepare a one minute (or less) monologue which showcases Acting Ability. This is for Arsenic & Old Lace.

• Typed Resume and Headshot (preferable).

ARSENIC & OLD LACE will be directed by TBA.

CAROUSEL will be directed by Steven Flaa and choreographed by Kim Ball.
