one-two SONGS: 32 bars( approximately 1 minute) of a song in a style similar to Matilda Jr. Students are welcome to sing from the show. Vocal auditions should include a backtrack- no acapella. ( unlisted YouTube link)
DANCE AUDITION: in-person Choose August 1, 2024 6:00-7:30pm or August 19, 2024pm. On August 1st, a Matilda Jr Audition prep class will be offered 6:00-7:30pm ($25)
HEADSHOT: A current headshot or similar photo
STUDENTS MAY OPTIONALLY SUBMIT a RESUME Please note we welcome students who are new to theater! Don't worry if auditioning is new to you or if you do not have a resume- you will start creating one with ITW!
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: August 18, 2024 11:59pm
FEES: $100 DEPOSIT is due with registration. Registration and deposit are required to complete audition submission.
PRODUCTION FEE BALANCE: $500. Flexible payment plans are available to accommodate different needs. SCHOLARSHIPS- Need-based partial scholarships are available for those needing financial assistance. We aim to make the arts available to all. No student will be turned away due to financial hardship. There is a place to request a scholarship on the registration form.
GUIDELINES
Students have the option of submitting a video audition or choosing to attend an in-person audition(limited number of time slots) Students will prepare the same audition material as for video submission. Students new to theater or who have extreme anxiety about auditioning may opt for a Meet&Greet on August 19th in lieu of an audition.
Students will be asked to attend one of the in-person Dance Auditions on August 1st or August 19th.

Some students will be asked to attend a callback on August 19, 2024 between 12:00-4:00pm. If your student has another rehearsal or performance conflict with the callback date- we will arrange a different call back date for your student. ALL REGISTERED STUDENTS WILL BE CAST IN A ROLE!
Registration form and $100 deposit is due with audition submission.
OTHER INFORMATION
REHEARSALS: We will start with a required attendance SUPER SIZED rehearsal on August 26th 10:00am-4:00pm.
Followed by weekly Monday 10:00am-1:00pm rehearsals: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28 and various cast members/groups will be called to Fridays rehearsals in September/October 1:00-3:00pm. It is okay if your student is not available on some or all Fridays.
Tech Rehearsal: October 31st 11:00am-3:00/3:30pm and November 1st 3:00-5:00pm at Marshall Ellis Performing Arts Theatre Performances: November 1st 7:00pm( call time 5:00pm), November 3rd 3:00pm( call time 1:00pm) and 7:00pm at Marshall Ellis Performing Arts Theatre.
