All three actors must sing and play the piano moderately well.
Auditions will consist of readings from the script. The three roles are:
IRVING BERLIN, legendary American composer. Age 68, winner of the Medal of Freedom, Irving composed hundreds of memorable songs, including God Bless America.
HAROLD ARLEN, composer of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Age 51. A quiet man, deeply in love with his wife. He is poetic, smart and a little lost.
JIMMY VAN HEUSEN, age 43. Van Heusen composed over 800 songs, more than 50 of which became standards. A bit of a bad boy, Jimmy’s work was featured in over 220 films.
As an incentive to sign up for the audition with Auditions Manager, the first hour of each open call will be given over exclusively to those who register and schedule an audition time through this service.
Pre-registration is recommended, but not required. Once pre-registration through this website is closed, auditionees may show up at either open call and complete their registration in person.
