There are eleven (11) Principal/Supporting/Solo roles, a large adult ensemble of fourteen (14) singer/dancer/actors, a teen chorus of six (6) and a children’s chorus of eight to ten (8-10) to play multiple roles.

ADULT ENSEMBLE: Ages 16 and up. The Adult Ensemble of The Little Mermaid requires strong singer/dancer/actors that will play multiple roles. These include Sailors, Sea Creatures, Mersisters (Sisters of Ariel) Gulls, Maids, Chefs, Princesses and Court Members, specialty vocal and dance roles and other ensemble parts. Each ensemble member can expect to play a minimum of 2-3 roles. Ensemble actors need to be strong singers, capable of singing in multiple popular musical styles while utilizing specific character voices. Some roles requires strong dancers including tap.
TEEN ENSEMBLE: Age 12-16. The teen ensemble of six (6) will be partners with URSULA and will manipulate her “tentacles.”
CHILDREN ENSEMBLE: Age 7-11. The children ensemble of eight to ten (8-10) will play schools of fish. They will appear in the large ensemble ocean scenes. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A HEIGHT RESTRICTION OF NO TALLER THAN 4’6” FOR THE CHILDREN’S ENSEMBLE.
GUIDELINES
ALL auditionees should prepare 32 bars from a song which shows both their vocal skill and range.
PLEASE NOTE: Legible sheet music must be provided for the rehearsal pianist/music director. No recorded accompaniment or acappella auditions will be allowed.
Please dress appropriately for the singing and dancing audition. The private singing portion will take place first.
OTHER INFORMATION
Auditions for all roles in The Little Mermaid will be held at the theatre on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 7:00 pm and Sunday July 15 at 2:00 pm.
As an incentive to sign up for the audition with Auditions Manager, the first hour of each open call will be given over exclusively to those who register and schedule an audition time through this service.
