Requirements: For the audition, actors must submit TWO of the three options defined below:
OPTION A) A 1-minute contemporary monologue of your choice, memorized (material need not be for young audiences)
OPTION B) Read for ONE character from ONE of the following sides, selected from the upcoming season’s shows (for sides, click the link titled "MAGIK GENERAL AUDITION MATERIALS" under "Resources").
- Side 1: read for EDDIE or PEN - Side 2: read for IGUANA or MOTH - Side 3: read for MOTH or CRICKET - Side 4: read for SELENA MARIA or FELLY
OPTION C) Sing the TWO musical cuts from Schoolhouse Rock Live! that are range-appropriate for you (for sheet music and music tracks, click the link titled "MAGIK GENERAL AUDITION MATERIALS" under "Resources").
**NOTE: Actors wishing to be considered for Schoolhouse Rock Live! MUST choose option C**

GUIDELINES
- For option B, please use an off-camera reader.
- For options B & C, you do not need to be memorized, just familiar enough with the material to communicate your objectives effectively.
- Place your camera far back enough to capture at least 3/4 of your body for a sense of your physicality.
- Review before submitting to be sure you can be seen, and that the sound balance and quality are good!

OTHER INFORMATION
Because we are requiring digital headshots and resumes, you do NOT need to bring a printed headshot/resume to the audition.
Those called back for Schoolhouse Rock Live! will be invited to a dance call at a future date. Other callbacks may be held on a per-show basis.
Because Magik serves schools and families, rehearsals and most performances are held during daytime hours. Magik is located in downtown San Antonio, in Hemisfair Park.
Magik is a fully vaccinated company; all incoming employees are expected to provide proof of vaccination.
The pay rate for actors is $400/week, plus a monthly parking stipend.
