Encore! Performing Arts Youth Programs - Big Band Auditions Spring 2025

Encore Performing Arts is excited to announce spring auditions for Youth Big Band for trumpeters only. All other instrumentation parts are currently filled. Auditions are open to Central Florida students in grades 8-12 during the 2024-2025 school year.

This ensemble will perform at prominent venues in the Orlando area and culminates in a May concert at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Q. Who can audition?
Central Florida Students in grades 8-12 for the 2024-2025 school year.

Q. What instruments can audition?
Currently, we are accepting auditions for trumpet only.

Q. What is the cost to participate in Youth Big Band?
$135 which will cover the remaining 2024-2025 Encore Youth Program season.

Q. Are there scholarships? If so, how does one apply for a scholarship?
No qualifying student will be turned away from EYP because of an inability to pay tuition. EYP strives to provide scholarships and Tuition Financial Aid for musicians whose families demonstrate need. Please contact the EYP staff to request a Financial Aid Application.

Q. What is the rehearsal schedule like? When will rehearsals start? Are there weeks when rehearsals will not be happening, such as around holidays?
Most rehearsals will take place on Sundays from 1:30pm-4:30pm at Freedom High School. A specific rehearsal schedule will be provided upon enrollment into the ensemble..

Q. How long will rehearsals run for each Sunday?
Rehearsals will be weekly, on Sundays, from 1:30-4:30pm.
